Washoe County Utility provides wastewater treatment to approximately 16,000 customers including some urban areas in Reno and Sparks. The Utility treats an average of 5 million gallons of wastewater per day at three regional wastewater plants and manages the recovery of reclaimed water and biosolids from these waste streams. Please note, Washoe County Water Utility merged with Truckee Meadows Water Authority on 12/31/2014.
