A regional COVID-19 Business Operations Guide has been established, to be implemented in Reno, Sparks and unincorporated Washoe County. Please be advised, this document may be updated as the COVID-19 situation changes. Due to health and safety concerns for the public in light of COVID-19, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and his administration took actions starting on March 17, 2020 with regard to the operations of essential and non-essential businesses. On March 20, 2020, the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management adopted emergency regulations in Nevada Administrative Code Chapter 414 to define essential and non-essential businesses as well as the parameters for businesses to conduct business in Nevada during the public health emergency.This guide summarizes operational restrictions and mandatory closures for certain types of businesses during this public health emergency. Restrictions remain in effect until April 30, 2020.

The Washoe County Complex is open to the public BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please refrain from traveling to the Washoe County Complex without first contacting Washoe County Code Enforcement by email or phone.
Washoe County Code Compliance provides sensitive, courteous, and efficient services designed to ensure a good quality of life for all unincorporated Washoe County residents and property owners. These services protect the health, safety and welfare of County residents through fair and impartial enforcement of the Washoe County Business, Liquor and Gaming License Code (WCC Chapter 25), the Nuisance Code (WCC Chapter 50), and the Development Code (WCC Chapter 110). Enforcement emphasizes voluntary compliance, followed when necessary by proper legal procedures. These legal procedures are principally through the County’s Administrative Enforcement Code, but may result in a misdemeanor criminal action or in civil action through a Court, if warranted.
How to Report a Complaint
The Code Enforcement Program is authorized by the Nevada Revised Statutes and the Washoe County Codes.
